EA debuts details on Star Wars: Battlefront II at 2017 E3 presentation

Earlier this weekend, EA revealed more details on the anticipated sequel to the hit “Star Wars” video game – Battlefront. Like any new iteration of a video game, new features, characters, and items will all be a part of Battlefront II.

Among the new things, the game will feature a new single-player campaign mode with a new story line that takes place in the 30-year break between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens” that was written in partnership with Lucasfilm’s Story Group, who are in charge of directing the narrative for the larger universe in the new films. Yes, you’ll be able to play as Rey and Kylo Ren in the game now.

Battlefront II also upgraded the graphics in the game, making background, characters and even their clothes even more crisp and clear to a lifelike quality.

Other enhancements include new multiplayer modes and free DLC (downloadable content) that will extend the core game with even more new features and gameplay scenarios as new Star Wars movies and properties debut.

According to The Verge, all these changes to the game are coming in response to the “constructive” feedback given by gamers with the release of the first game back in 2015. According to the initial responses of those who played a few minutes of the game at EA’s E3 event this past weekend, there certainly is potential in making this the best Star Wars game on the market today, but only if the preview was really a true taste of what is to come with the full game.

EA promised that Battlefront would make any player feel as if they are living in Star Wars. We’ll see if they can make that even more so when Battlefront II releases this November 17 with pre-orders now being taken.
