Finally, Fantasy Faire And More Coming to Fantasyland at Disneyland!
Hear ye, hear ye all who come to this happy place! We’re excited to announce that Disneyland has set the grand opening date for Fantasy Faire for Tuesday March 12, 2013!
Fantasy Faire is literally an extension of Fantasyland with the experience itself blending itself perfectly into the surrounding area. Upon approaching Fantasy Faire, you’ll notice that it is a charming and quaint village with popping colors and medieval architechture that perfectly fits in with Sleeping Beauty’s Castle that’s next to it.
Making your way into the village itself, you’ll find some Disney magic including an interactive music box and even Geppetto’s cat Figaro sleeping to the tunes. You’ll also see Tangled Tower in the village’s center representing Rapunzel’s home for the beginnings of her life.
Toward the left of the village area, you’ll find a new theater venue called Royal Theater (once the Carnation Gardens Stage) where you’ll be able to view two new shows telling the classic fairy tales of Rapunzel and Belle as told by Renaissance storytellers Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones.
Back toward the right of Fantasy Faire, guests will also have access to Fairytale Treasures where they can buy all sorts of princess attire and gifts. There will also be food offerings in the form of Maurice’s Treats (Belle’s father was a cook, remember?) where you can bite into bread twists and the speciality Boysen Apple Freeze drink.
In addition to these fantasical offerings coming to the Disneyland Resort in early Spring, a new theatrical stage show will once again be played at the famous Fantasyland Theater called “Mickey and the Magical Map.” For more on the exciting plot, click here.
Although an opening date has yet to be announced for the show, we expect it to open either on or close to the Fantasy Faire opening date in March!
On a side note, auditions are currently being held for the performers and singers for the show, so if it was ever your dream to be in a Disney stage show, now’s your chance!
So as you can probably tell, there’s a lot of fantasy coming to Fantasyland this Spring at Disneyland and we’ll be sure to share it all with you as we inch closer to the opening dates! Keep it here on DisneyExaminer for more until then.
