Fuel To The Fire: a review of Disney’s “Planes: Fire & Rescue”

It has been nearly a year since we first met Dusty Crophopper in the world of “Planes”. Many thought that the Pixar “Cars” spinoff would be a one-trick plane in this case where things would be where they were intended to be: only on video. But what has become of what is now a franchise, the sky’s really the limit when it comes to where Dusty could end up.

But for now, we focus on his sequel film called “Planes: Fire & Rescue” – a new adventure of Dusty’s where he encounters the “fires” of life. It’s a film where the story gets deeper, the characters are newer, and the ability to hold it all together in a film geared toward kids is challenged. Although the world of “Planes” hasn’t changed, a lot in it has. Does this mean that Disney had to create another film to make it a full-fledged franchise?

Disney intended for this film to be release in theaters and their going “all in” when it comes to you handling the fire. Before you do, we hope you read our SPOILER-FREE review of the film to see if you can indeed handle the fire that is this film. Click HERE to get reading!
