Gingerbread Meets DCA.

Disney California Adventure is currently celebrating their first Christmas season since the completion of their expansion and you can expect a lot of firsts. One of the more ‘sweeter’ firsts are the gingerbread creations you’ll find around the Park – each with a different theme.

You’ll find one at the Carthay Circle Theater and Restaurant. Created by Pastry Chef Jorge Sotelo and his team over at the Grand Californian Hotel, the gingerbread house that is modeled after the Seven Dwarfs Cottage from the Snow White film is perfectly placed in the recreated LA theater as that is where the film had its world premiere back in 1937.

You’ll find another gingerbread creation over at Fiddler, Fifer, and Practical’s Cafe on Buena Vista Street. This gingerbread house is modeled after Walt Disney’s Hollywood home when he first arrived in California in the early 1920’s.

One last gingerbread house can be seen “parked” over in Cars Land. In Flo’s V-8 Cafe, you can see Mater completely gingerbread-ified! Gingerbread Mater was created by Executive Pastry Chef and “Pie man” Jean Marc Viallet and his talented team (who also are responsible for creating the Haunted Mansion Holiday gingerbread house)!

The gingerbread houses will only be on display until January 6, 2013 when Christmas time at Disneyland ends, so view them now before they are all thrown away.
