Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman selected as lead voice cast for “Zooptopia”

The “wildly” talented Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman have hopped on board to voice the characters in Walt Disney Animated Studios’ “Zootopia.”

The animated movie tells a tale about Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny ever to be inducted into the police force. To prove herself she partners up with the most unlikely animal, a con-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve a mystery in the huge animal-city, Zootopia. Together this unlikely duo tries to crack the case and show that anything is possible.

Director Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) has expressed how excited he was to have Goodwin and Bateman star in this comedy-adventure: “after meeting Ginnifer, we knew she embodied Hopps, the ultimate pure-of-heart, idealist bunny. You fall in love with her character instantly. And for Nick Wilde, our cynical con-artist fox, we only ever had one actor in mind, the incomparable Jason Bateman”. Along with Howard, Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) directed “Zootopia,”  with Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”) as co-director.

The movie is releases into the wild on March 4, 2016.
