Here’s the first teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast”
This morning, Disney debuted the 1-minute of clips from its upcoming live-action remake of “Beauty and the Beast”. It’s the first time since the D23 Expo last August that we saw any footage of the film and it does look promising.
Live-action remakes are always difficult to judge early on, but Disney has been pretty clear on what this one will be like. Walt Disney Studios president of production Sean Bailey said at the Expo that the film won’t deviate from the original animated classic in story.
The teaser trailer does seem to prove that from the prologue piano music, Cogsworth and Lumiere’s voice, the red rose, and of course Belle herself played by Harry Potter star Emma Watson. And that’s just a few of the things that have been revealed!
So much has yet to be shown from the film including the all-star cast and the characters they’ll playing including Ewan McGregor (Lumiere), Ian McKellen (Cogsworth), Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Stanley Tucci (Cadenza), Kevin Kline (Belle’s Father Maurice), and Josh Gad (LeFou).
Even the music won’t stray from the original with the music for this film being helmed by famed composer Alan Menken who wrote those famous tunes. And yes, most of those listed above will be singing!
The tale that’s old as time isn’t too far from its full debut on March 17, 2017.
