Here’s what some top Disney animator talent think of animation.

This past weekend, some of the animation industry’s top talent came together for the 43rd annual Annie Awards, the Oscars for the animation world. With some of Disney’s finest animation and voice talent around for the night, we wanted to ask a simple question: what does animation mean to you?

We got a variety of answers from a variety of people like famed Disney Animation producer Don Hahn (“Beauty and the Beast”, “The Lion King”) all the way to Phyllis Smith who plays Sadness in “Inside Out”. All of them, however, had one thing in common – a love for the art that the process of animation is.
