How to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast at Disneyland

Thanksgiving is next week and that means food, food, and MORE food.

To partake in the pre-Thanksgiving festivities, I wanted see if I could put together a Thanksgiving meal at the Disneyland Resort. Of course, it wouldn’t be a feast without people to eat it with so I met up with some of the DisneyExaminer Staff to get started on the preparations!

First off, we got a turkey leg as the main course for the meal, and of course, what is turkey without a couple of side dishes?

For the side dishes, we got mashed potatoes & gravy and green beans from the Plaza Inn, and buttered corn on the cob from a food cart near the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Dessert consisted of a Pumpkin Yule Log from the Plaza Inn, as well as an Apple Pie Funnel Cake from the Hungry Bear Restaurant.

We gathered all of our food and decided that the perfect place to feast would be on Tom Sawyer’s Island (TSI). After trekking through the crowd who were admiring the beauty of our apple pie funnel cake, we arrived at the loading dock for TSI. Once we got on the island, we found a picnic table that perfectly overlooked the Rivers of America. Overall, the feast was a success as you can see below.

Keep in mind that this isn’t the only way to have your own Thanksgiving meal at Disneyland, but one option out of many!
