Independence WEEK.

America’s 237th birthday is coming up next week! Although you may have already made plans, we wanted to be able to share some of the things that Disney Parks will be doing this year in particular to celebrate the occasion. Remember that it’s all a part of Limited Time Magic!

First off, both Disneyland and Walt Disney World will be celebrating America for one whole week (aka Independence Week) beginning July 1 and extending until July 7 and nothing says “independence” like fireworks, right?

Both Resorts will have fireworks nightly throughout Independence Week. On Independence DAY July 4, fireworks will shoot up at 9 PM at WDW and 9:30 PM at the Disneyland Resort.

In addition to the fireworks, the Disneyland Resort will also play host to one of the largest collection of US Military musical acts in the state! From the returning 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band to Air National Guard Bands, this will certainly be a treat to those who are in attendance for their concerts; a full schedule of which can be found below:

Monday, July 1

  • At Disneyland park, the Dixieland Tailgaters will perform on the French Market Stage in New Orleans Squareat 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

  • At Disney California Adventure park, rock out with Global Strike in Paradise Gardens at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8:30 p.m.

Friday, July 5

And if you’re celebrating the 4th at the Disneyland Resort, remember to bring your Glow With The Show Ear Hats as they’ll be utilized too!

You’ll surely get hungry scouting out your perfect spot for those fireworks, so be sure to try the special America-inspired food items that’ll be available like the Skillet-Baked Peach Cobbler at EPCOT or the Red, White, and Blue Mason Jar Desserts at Disneyland Park.
