Introducing DisneyExaminer Re•memories.

In the vast collection of magical moments you’ve had at Disneyland, do you remember your first ones?

Do you remember the emotions you felt as you saw Mickey Mouse in real life? The feelings that reverberated through your heart as the parade marched on by? Or maybe even the first few bites into a Mickey Mouse shaped cookie? If you have had any types of these memories, awesome.

Now, do you have a picture of it?

For all of us Disney fans, these specific moments we’ve had living out our Disney lives at the Happiest Place on Earth are memories that we hold very dearly to and therefore, we take pictures of these memories to make them timeless. The reality is that time goes on and as it does, things change, those memories fade, and the desire of going back to those times creeps in.

But do you wish you could experience it all again?

Since Disney hasn’t created that time machine yet or can’t or won’t be visiting Anaheim anytime soon, we here at DisneyExaminer want to grant you that wish by recreating those memories. Your favorite Disneyland memories.

We’re proud to introduce DisneyExaminer Re•memories, a new series that will allow you to relive your favorite Disney memories thanks to modern technology, social media, and the fact that Disneyland is still around!

The concept is simple: we’ll take an old picture of you or your loved one at Disneyland Park and retake that picture in the exact same place with that original picture in it. In other words, we’ll be taking a picture of the picture! The above image is an example of what we mean.

As you can see, the results are magical. Why? The memory has been recreated and you can once again bask in it once more. We’re looking to do many more Rememories and feature them right here on the site, but that requires your participation.

If you’d like us to recreate your favorite memory that happened at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, upload your picture to Instagram and include the background story behind the photo and the hashtag #DisneyRememories in the captions.

Remember that your submitted photo has to be a photo that was taken inside either theme park and make sure it’s cropped so that all that is showing is desired photo! We’ll then go through the submission and select a few to be recreated and feature them on our Instagram account and here in a story on the main site.

It’s about time we not only create new Disney memories, but remember and relive them as well!
