Introducing the Disneyland Decades Video Series. [1950s with Carol Hansen]

Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow so long as there is imagination left in the world.

– Walt Disney

Those words ring true even today, nearly 60 years ago since the opening of Walt’s first Magic Kingdom in Anaheim, California. While much of the park has changed throughout the years, the people who have enter through its gates have been ever-changing in number and type as well.

Consequently, all of us have experienced the original Disney Park in our own ways. Our grandparent’s experiences will be different from our parent’s experiences and our parent’s experiences will be different from their kid’s experiences. While our memories are all different, our stories remain constant and will continue to remain constant into the next 60 years and beyond.

Please enjoy the first of these Disneyland Decade stories as told by people who went to Disneyland during the 6 decades it has been opened.

For our 1950s video, Carol Hansen shares what it was like to go to Disneyland Park shortly after it opened in 1955.
