Jamie Shaheen – a Grand Pianist.

There have been many times that we’ve just found ourselves pooped after a long day at Disneyland. Not to say that the attractions or shows are tiresome, but walking to each one right after the other and/or if it’s a hot day outside can take the magic right out of you, you know?

You know, and knowing that, you’ve always tried to take shelter somewhere that’ll give you a break from the weather and rest for your feet. Back when we were first dreaming up DisneyExaminer, we usually found ourselves at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa (GCH). Why? Cheap, good food at White Water Snacks and Jamie Shaheen.

If you’ve ever been to GCH before, you know that their iconic atrium lobby area is home to a giant fireplace, lots of seating, free Wi-Fi, and a piano. Although it isn’t a piano you can play yourself, the person behind it, like Jamie, always brings a Disney tune or two to make your tiredness and weariness go away.

It’s a fantasy of sorts and for us, Jamie’s tunes made everything better. We got to chat with her and fortunately for us, have been good friends ever since! Because apart from enjoying her tunes and resting our feet, meeting people like Jamie refreshed us in know that the Disney magic comes from the people you’d least expect it from. Even a grand pianist.
