Jolly Good (Food)

It’s certainly going to be a Jolly Holiday on Main Street as we enter into 2012!

The former site of the Plaza Pavilion has been boarded up to make way for a new bakery cafe called the Jolly Holiday Bakery…and Cafe! That will of course be themed in the Mary Poppins theme and will feature pretty much all the menu that was at Blue Ribbon Bakery (sweets, cakes, coffee, etc.), as well as a couple new items, as well as outdoor seating.

Since Blue Ribbon Bakery will no longer be used to sell these sweets, it will be closed to make way for the long awaited indoor seating for Carnation Cafe! Can’t wait to have Chef Oscar’s famous breakfast potatoes…without it’s own queue! Carnation Cafe will close also at the beginning of 2012 and re-open in the summer of the same year.

While we are on the topic of food, the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and Candy Palace will get more space to make more delicious sweets. Gibson Girl will also sport a larger indoor seating area and the Candy Palace display kitchen will gain more space as well, so hopefully more Christmas Candy Canes will be made! These changes will be made during a closure as well beginning at the beginning of 2012 and re-open in the Spring.
