Just Got Spookier!

Earlier last month, I, Jordie, was able to attend the lastest special event hosted by the Disney Parks Blog called the ‘Just Got Spookier’ Meet-Up. These meet ups, which are becoming increasingly popular amongst Disney fans, are really cool events that vary from a preview walk-through of Cars Land before it opened to riding the Haunted Mansion Holiday for as many times as you want for an hour…and that’s exactly what we were able to do for this meet-up, amid some more awesome things like FREE nighttime snacks!

Another highlight of that evening was the opportunity to attend a discussion and Q&A session with David Caranci, Manager of Resort Enhancement, and Brian Sandahl, Senior Designer for Disney Entertainement Creative Development.

These two told us about how their teams prep the Disneyland Resort for Halloween Time every year. It’s a large operation that requires the participation of all of Disneyland’s divisions and is quite a joy to do according to these two! Did you all know that there were concepts for a Pirates of the Caribbean and Matterhorn Halloween overlays? I lol’d.

We also learned and were the first to report that the Haunted Mansion Holiday would open up for its 13th year next year on Friday the 13th! Be expectant for some different (yet welcome) spooky surprises that are coming to the Mansion for the next holiday season!
