Look out, here comes the Lion Guard! [The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar DVD review]
This past November, The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar made its big debut on Disney Channel with overwhelming success, introducing a brand-new story based in the world of Disney’s The Lion King to older and younger generations of fans. If you missed it when it aired, the television movie is finally coming out on DVD today giving you the chance to dive right into the heroic adventures of “The Lion Guard.”
Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala and younger brother to Kiara, is granted the gift of the mighty “Roar of the Elders” that is only bestowed to the leader of “The Lion Guard,” an elite team of animals tasked to protect the Pride Lands from danger. Along with his friend Bunga the honey badger, Fuli the cheetah, Beshte the hippo, and Ono the egret, they assemble to use their unique abilities against predators that would threaten the balance of the Circle of Life and prove themselves as the heroes of the Pride Lands.
