Lucky life lessons from Disney Channel’s “The Luck of the Irish”

Today we celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day, paying homage to the patron saint of Ireland and Irish culture! Pull out your lucky shamrocks and green clothes, and prepare yourselves for all of the fun festivities the day has in store!

The 2001 film features an extremely lucky junior high school student named Kyle (Ryan Merriman) is dismayed by the fact that he has no idea what his heritage is or where his family comes from. After Kyle loses his lucky gold medallion, he quickly discovers that is family is really part-Leprechaun. He must search for the gold coin–the source of his and his entire family’s luck–or his entire family will shrink back into leprechauns and bad luck will fall upon them.

The Luck of the Irish is not only a wealth of family fun but it also contains many important world lessons that truly carry the spirit of the holiday.

Though The Luck of the Irish came out 15 years ago, the movie contains important messages that are still relevant to audiences today.
