The Magic You’ll Find If You Go “Into The Woods”
As we’re a little more than halfway through the year already, we’re beginning to see more previews on the films that will be coming to theaters toward the end of the year. One of those films that recently debuted a new teaser trailer (above) giving audiences a little glimpse of what it’ll be like to walk into a storybook.
“Into The Woods” was originally an award-winning musical based off the original fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. Together with stunning set pieces, already beloved characters like Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood, and a musical score written by a Broadway icon, “Into The Woods” went on to become among the world’s most memorable experiences.
Now, nearly 30 years after the world had the chance to head into the woods, a new live-action film by Disney will give a new life to already lively tale of this combination of storybook characters. The film adaptation of the musical will include much of the same things that made the stage production magical: magical visuals, the story-filled melodies, and of course an all-star cast.
Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, and Johnny Depp will be a part of this film all under the direction of the director of Chicago and producers from another smash hit musical “Wicked”.
You’ll be able to venture into the woods yourselves when the film hits theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2014!
