Marvel’s Avengers-esque team from its Netflix series will debut in August

Marvel’s Netflix series have been an overall hit with a lot of people. From “Daredevil” to “Jessica Jones, “Luke Cage” to “Iron Fist,” these above average human/superheroes have had some of Marvel’s most compelling, relatable, emotional, and graphic depictions of its comic books we’ve seen.

While all of their origin stories were different, they were also very interconnected. And that was for a purpose since they were ultimately planned to come together. After three years, that time has come. Introducing The Defenders as seen in the first trailer for the new Netflix series.

For all those hardcore Marvel comics fans, these Defenders aren’t the same ones that were part of the original comics from the 1970s. So unfortunately in order to fully appreciate the new series, you’ll probably need to watch the first few if not all the episodes of each of the previous Netflix series.

The story of the Netflix version of “Avengers” team hasn’t been said in the trailer, we do see the new villain for it. Her name is Alexandra and she is being played by award-winning actress Sigourney Weaver. As for what role she’ll play in the story, we don’t know since Marvel won’t reveal that either.

What we can tell you about the series and what we can confirm is what we saw at the end of the teaser trailer – “The Defenders” series will debut all its episodes on August 18 exclusively on Netflix.
