More MagicBand+ Magic.

Earlier last week, Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs journeyed to Rancho Palos Verdes, California and the annual Wall Street Journal tech conference called All Things D.

At the conference, Mr. Staggs as expected was to share the newest piece of Disney technology called MagicBand+, the new Bluetooth and RFID enabled wristband that will become your new admission ticket, your hotel room key, and even charge card while you’re at a Disney Park! It’s currently being tested at Walt Disney World.

We are really interested in the new technology because it’ll be very useful, especially for us who like to carry less and less while we’re at the Parks anyway. But apparently being your digital keys to the Magic Kingdom isn’t all the MagicBand will be able to do…

During the live interview at the conference, Mr. Staggs seemed to have revealed a little more on what the MagicBand will do like reserved seating for the night’s fireworks show, interactions with video games (like Disney Infinity), and even having an ‘its a small world’ doll greet you on your birthday!

A full video of the interview, including a special greeting and description of MagicBand+ from Edna Mode (from “The Incredibles”) can be found by clicking HERE.
