More Main Street Windows.

Continuing on in the Main Street U.S.A. windows history lessons, we meet two more Disney VIPs who’ve done some interesting and unique things over the years that deserve the highest award a Disney cast member can receive.

Jim Cora has his own window in Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland Park, but this wasn’t the first window he was presented with. Jim had been working at Disneyland since 1957 when he worked on as an attractions host part time. He soon made his way up the Disney corporate ladder to the Disney Administration Building. Ultimately, his most important contribution was overseeing and training management for Tokyo Disneyland. He later became vice president of Walt Disney Productions Japan overseeing the operations of all of Disney’s properties in Tokyo and then returned to California in 1983 to serve as vice president and then later president of Disneyland International. He retired in 2001 after the opening of Tokyo DisneySea.

Van Arsdale France was a Cast Member who first started working at Disneyland back when it opened in 1955. Walt wanted someone to train the staff to have the same vision of hospitality that he had and gave that honor to Van France. He was the founder of the Disney University which trained Cast Members to smile and treat every visitor as a very important guest. He retired in 1978.

Both at Disney Legends and are certainly deserving of this great award like all the other Disney VIPs that have come before and after them!
