“Muppet Moments” are for everyone!

Let’s be honest: we miss the Muppets!

Disney, which owns the franchise, has been pretty good at keeping the beloved puppets alive through their own movies and merchandise, but some have expressed that isn’t enough. More specifically, the parents of those who have new and very young babies want the quality developmental and innocent comedy the Muppets brought them.

Those desires have been met with the creation of “Muppet Moments”. They’re short episodic videos that will air on Disney Junior. They’ll feature all our favorite Muppet characters like Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and more to teach young kids in an entertaining way.

The most fascinating thing is that the “teaching” of subjects like apologies and favorite foods will actually happen through a very fun dialogue between a Muppet and a child.

“There’s a magic that happens when a kid sits next to a Muppet and they start talking to each other,” said Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and General Manger of Disney Junior.

That magic of teaching is something that we think will make this new series great. And not just for kids, but for those of us who are grown and need a reminder of how to be kind and eat properly in our own everyday.

“Muppet Moments” will first debut on Disney Channel with 4 shorts premiering Friday, April 3, with new shorts airing daily through Friday, May 8. New shorts will continue to rollout throughout 2015 and will also be available on WATCH Disney Junior.
