What’s (Nut)crackin’ with Pixar and ‘Winter Dreams’ + World Premiere Coverage Details

We know we haven’t even reached Christmas yet, but we already are getting our presents early this year with so many new things coming from The Walt Disney Company. From movies to new additions at the theme parks, there’s certainly a lot to enjoy this holiday season! What’s even “cooler” is that many of these holiday offerings are connected to each other…which means more holiday Disney magic everywhere!

We’re talking about the awesome collaboration that Walt Disney Imagineers and the amazing animation team at Pixar are having right now as they finish up the newest nighttime entertainment offering coming to Disney California Adventure Park. World of Color – Winter Dreams is currently wrapping up its production process and is now currently being tested after theme park closing in Paradise Bay. Some of the first testing includes new animations from Pixar including a few scenes where you’ll find another familiar “connection” with your favorite toys from “Toy Story”!

In the new show, Woody and the gang to put on their own show – their take on Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and they’ll be doing it in their own unique styles! Take a look at the video above to see some of how they’ll be performing this classic ballet in some of the testing footage shot at DCA.

You’ll have to wait until November 15 to see the premiere of their show along with the rest of the water spectacular…

But join us the evening before (November 14) and you’ll get to see the real world premiere of the new show as we’ll be at a special two-day press event at the Disneyland Resort! Check HERE  for our coverage page!

“It’s wonderful when we can synergize and partner with great artists like PIXAR and let everyone’s creative energy flow together into the idea…And in the end, our audiences get to see the magic that great partnerships can make” says show director Steve Davison.
