Tour Walt Disney’s California Adventure

If you know and love the “Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps” guided tour at Disneyland park, you will be happy to hear that Disney California Adventure has added a new tour for all the Disney history buffs out there. Appropriately deemed “Disney California Story”, it explores the story of Walt Disney as an animator and how his experiences led to the the theme of Disney California Adventure park. The new DCA tour is unique, yet complements one of the most popular and beloved Disney guided tours, providing a deeper look into Disney history. Guests are taken through Disney California Adventure as they hear stories of California in the early 1900s and the inspiration Walt Disney drew from the young state’s rich history upon his arrival in the Golden State.

The new Disney California Story Guided Tour can be viewed as the prequel and sequel to ‘Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps’ at Disneyland Park,” said Dustin Strong, Guest Service Manager for Disneyland Resort Guest Relations Guided Tours. Modern day magic is also brought to life in this tour thanks to the Walt Disney Company’s partnership and creative collaborations with Pixar.

The tour involves many exclusive opportunities for guests, such as:

• A peek into the exclusive 1901 Lounge on DCA’s Buena Vista Street. The lounge dons detail and décor reflecting Walt Disney’s history and heritage.

• The chance to enjoy a number of unique attraction experiences during the tour.

• Guests will also go home with a themed collectible pin and enjoy a private lunch hosted by their tour guide on Buena Vista Street.

Through this new guided tour experience, the Walt Disney Company hopes to offer its guests a sneak peek into the life of Walt Disney and unveil stories about his life in the state where he first turned his amusement park dreams into a reality. “Our primary goal is to provide a great storytelling experience and showcase Walt Disney’s life here in California,” said Strong.

After all, one of Walt Disney’s first and foremost hopes was to leave his mark as a storyteller. That is the legacy that the Disneyland Resort hopes to carry on through their Guided Tour experiences, Strong said.

“This tour enables the Guided Tour Program to expand its immersive storytelling into Disney California Adventure park,” said Strong.

To gain access to this exciting new tour, guests may book a tour by calling 1(714) 781-TOUR (8687) or visiting Disneyland Resort Guest Relations. The tour can be purchased for $109.00, but if you are an Annual Passport holder, Disney VISA, Disney Vacation Club or AAA member, a 20% discount is available.

The Disney California Story Guided Tour is now available for booking and will be offered 7 days a week beginning at 10 AM and last for 3 hours.
