The Season for Food [La Brea Bakery Café’s New Menu]

The change from fall to winter means a lot of things – the cooler weather, the falling of leaves, the season for new food. With our friends at the La Brea Bakery Café at the Downtown Disney District in Southern California, you can escape that cold weather while enjoying a totally new menu thanks to new chef Vince Carino! In keeping with the seasonal foods available, the Café is introducing a brand new menu that keeps you in mind as well.

Their new menu includes items like a delicious Grilled Salmon served with fluffy whipped potatoes and a rich Spaghetti Alfredo topped with cream sauce, zucchini and yellow squash. This dish can also be made gluten free (and only certain places like the Café can offer)! There’s also a new gluten free kids pasta dish as well, which comes with your choice of Marinara or nut-free Pesto sauce. It’s not only gluten free, but it also comes with options like fruit, so everybody’s happy!

One particularly yummy dish I tried from the new menu was the Steak Salad. It was made from a mix of simple greens and cherry tomatoes topped with a mixture of balsamic syrup and creamy horseradish dressing, bleu cheese, crispy onion straws, and some of the most delicious steak slices I’ve ever tasted (because it’s sourced fresh and graded prime)! This filling salad is definitely a recommendation.

Another favorite was the Warm Spinach Salad, made of perfectly cooked spinach and topped with a vinaigrette, paired with proteins like bacon and egg – perfectly filling for all you health nuts out there!

So as you can see and hopefully taste, the new menu at the La Brea Bakery Café has a whole lot of new options that keeps everyone in mind, including you! And as the seasons continue to change, you can expect that the new menu will also remain new with changes being made to it regularly…including changes coming for the upcoming holiday season.
