One Sweet Man at Disneyland

We love it when Disney recognizes their own Cast Members. Not only does this recognition bring some encouragement to those employees, it also allows us Disney fans to see and appreciate the hard work it takes to create the magic that Disney is known for.

One of those chefs recently recognized is Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Marc Viallet, who is the “head of sweets” so to speak at the Disneyland Resort.

We’re sure you’ve eaten his works. The newest dessert he has created can be enjoyed at Flo’s V8 Cafe in Cars Land. The mini pies come in Strawberry Rhubarb, Chocolate mud pie and Apple-cheddar (seen above).

He has been part of the Disney Culinary team since 1999 and his career has taken him around the world. The very first dessert he made at the Parks was a Mickey cookie. This cookie was just the beginning of around 90% of all the desserts that were developed and made at the Disneyland Resort since taking up his “sweet” position.

Chef Viallet can still be found with his team working at the Central Bakery (near the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure producing everything from the those awesome mini pies to wedding cakes.

Congratulations and thank you Chef Viallet for your wonderful works with food!
