Post a message on these Memory Boards at a Disney Park for Walt Disney’s 50th death anniversary

This Thursday marks the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney’s passing. Walt died due to circulatory collapse caused by lung cancer he got due to his chain smoking habits.

Half decade after his passing, it cannot be denied that his life (and death) has inspired generations of people If you have ever been compelled to see a Disney movie, or go to a Disney Park, or even to buy a Disney toy for your children, you are considered a part of those generations.

And this Thursday, Memory Boards will be constructed at Disney Parks around the globe, where those who have been changed by Walt’s life can post a message of what he meant to them. Here are where the boards will be at and the hours they’ll be available for posting:

• Disneyland Resort: The gallery inside the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland Park from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m

• Walt Disney World Resort: Inside One Man’s Dream at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Disneyland Paris: Inside the Liberty Arcade on Main Street, U.S.A. at the entrance of “Statue of Liberty Tableau” from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Hong Kong Disneyland: Inside Art of Animation on Main Street, U.S.A. from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

• Tokyo Disney Resort: Mark Twain Riverboat queue from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

While we expect to see a lot of messages from every kind of people of every age group, we’re very interested in reading the messages that really share a multi-generational story.
