Pros to renewing a Disneyland annual pass

Yesterday you saw the cons of renewing a Disneyland annual pass, now let me give you the pros. It’s important to hear both sides of a story, right?

I’ve had my pass for a total of seven years and I just can’t seem to discontinue it because Disneyland keeps reeling me back in. I’ve had the constant battle with myself on whether or not I should renew my pass but Disneyland keeps winning back my heart. I’ve always had a Premium pass and transitioned to Signature. However, you don’t need one of the expensive passes to make your experience worth it; any pass can demonstrate that. I know it may seem conflicting to renew an annual pass with the price increases and the various changes throughout the parks, but there are still positives to committing to your pass.

Here are some reasons to consider renewing your pass:

  1. Payment plansA main reason why many people discontinued their passes was due to the price increases, which is completely understandable. However, it helps a lot that Disneyland offers different pass levels and payment plans to accommodate different financial situations. Each pass has its individual perks depending on how often you plan on visiting the parks.

  2. DiscountsAny little discount helps, especially at the parks. Each pass offers different discount rates but you still save money with all of them. You can save quite a bit of cash depending on what you buy. The discounts even save you from paying tax on smaller items!

  3. FOOD!Honestly, this is one of the main reasons why I can’t leave the parks. I absolutely love their food and there’s just so much to try. The parks have such unique, delicious food that is difficult to say goodbye to so soon.

  4. Always something new to see/tryThe parks have so much to offer and honestly, it takes a lot of time to have done and tried absolutely everything in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks. Take full advantage of your pass to try everything within in the parks; whether if it’s shows, rides or character meet and greets. There’s still plenty to do and check out despite the closures throughout the park. I know I haven’t even done everything in the parks yet, even considering how long I’ve had my pass.

  5. AP exclusive events/merchandiseAP exclusive pinEveryone enjoys being appreciated and Disney creates ways to show their appreciation for annual passholders by providing exclusive events and merchandise. The exclusivity of the merchandise itself can be a great perk for people who love collecting memorabilia or just to have. The events range from movie screenings, gatherings at the parks to special meet and greets with characters.

  6. Growing up DisneylandLast but not at least, being a Disney fan is the reason why I haven’t departed from my pass. I grew up falling in love with all things Disney and I’m reminded of that every time I go to the parks. I love being there and can’t seem to picture myself not having a pass.

Of course, I still have debates with myself on whether or not if I should continue being an annual pass holder but Disney still keeps triumphing. I’ve heard it all from “The parks aren’t even worth it anymore”, “You’re wasting your money”, to “It’s so boring at the parks now”.

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions and have different reasons for not wanting to pursue with a pass, but all in all, Disney still has those reasons that make having an annual pass completely worth it.
