Attractions you should NOT take a date on at Disneyland

Yesterday I gave you the dos, and now here are the don’ts; rides that I suggest you shouldn’t go on during a date. I only got on one of these rides with my boyfriend during our Disney date because we didn’t even want to go on the rest of them. These rides can be seen as “fun” to go on for some people, but I don’t feel like these are ones that you should go on with a date. Just a reminder, these choices are just an opinion and I’m recommending these from a general point of view. (These choices are not in any particular order)

#1 Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin

Personally, I have only been on this ride about three times in my life. This ride usually has a super long line, even though it’s a relatively short ride. I don’t see this ride as being very ideal to take your date on.

#2 Goofy’s Sky School

This ride is interesting to me. Why, you may ask? Mainly because I’ve been on a very similar version of this ride at the L.A. County Fair before, and I don’t see it as a fun little rollercoaster. The seats are uncomfortable and you swerve around in a harsh manner throughout the ride. There is nothing really romantic or enjoyable about this ride. Rollercoasters are usually fun to go on during a date…but not this one.

#3 Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride

It’s a wild ride, indeed. Whenever I walk through Fantasyland, I usually see a long line for this ride and it truly baffles me! Maybe a lot of families with kids think it’s really fun, but I definitely don’t see it as a romantic ride. I know I wouldn’t want to drive through hell in a tiny, uncomfortable car with my significant other.

#4 Grizzly River Run

Going down the rapids can be a great way to cool off from the So Cal heat, but getting soaking wet with gross water is not a very ideal way to spend time with your sweetheart. The water tends to smell, there’s weird chances on whether or not you get wet, and some of the other riders in your raft tend to be pretty intense on where they want to sit!

#5 Finding Nemo

I love passing through the E.A.C with Nemo and friends in a yellow submarine. However, the atmosphere itself doesn’t really give a “romantic” feel. Everyone is cramped in the submarine and there isn’t much space to move around. Keep in mind too, this ride is pretty long. I feel as if this ride is definitely enjoyable for the experience and a good place to keep cool on a hot day at the theme park, but it isn’t a great ride to go on if you and your boo like to be in your own little bubble. If you don’t want to get real cozy with your date and 30 other people, then I’d suggest going on a different ride.

There are plenty of other rides that could probably fit in this list, but I understand that some people have different opinions about which rides are considered “dos” or “dont’s” for a date. Just make sure to have fun on your date and enjoy the rides you go on!
