Saw DE Staff Run: 2013 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Wrap Up

3 days. 19.3 miles. And a few diaper rashes.

The 2013 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend had the whole DisneyExaminer team out in force to not just cover the running events, but to actually run them itself!

This past weekend was a weekend that we will never forget because we had to do more than coverage planning for this Disney event. Having seen many runDisney races in the past, we figured that it was time to bring the magical running races into the spotlight by actually seeing if “every mile was magic.”

After months of training, we are glad to report that we all cross the finish line in our respective events…which just happened to be just about EVERY race that runDisney held at the Disneyland Resort. From our very own Knightly diaper dashin’ to his dad David running around the river bend to Lance and Jordie running because they were late for a very important date (with a medal), these experiences gave a new kind of Disney magic for those who “went the distance.”
