Search For Real Heroes Is On In “Big Hero 6” Video Contest

There are a lot of heroes and heroines in Disney films and that’s no exception for Disney’s next blockbuster animated film “Big Hero 6”. Although you won’t be able to see the film in theaters until November, Disney has called upon the world to search for the next real “big heroes” to come together for a big contest.

Disney Corporate Citizenship, together with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and independent company XPRIZE have launched The Disney “Big Hero 6” – XPRIZE Challenge that will seek to find those heroes in our world today. So what exactly constitutes a hero and how can you enter to the challenge yourself?

Well, potential heroes ages 8 to 17 years of age are eligible to enter and are required to create a video that will show off how they are a hero solving the world’s biggest challenges in either science, technology, engineering, art and/or mathematics.

Video submissions will be judged on innovation, creativity, and presentation. 6 videos and their creators will then be chosen as winners and receive a “big” prize that includes a trip to Hollywood for the premiere of the film and an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of where it was made at the animation studios!
