SoCal Runner Finishes First at 2014 Disneyland Tinkerbell Half Marathon

29-year old Melissa Hernandez was the first one to cross the finish line at the 2014 Disneyland Tinker Bell Half Marathon that took place as part of the annual runDisney weekend-long event that took place January 16-19.

Hernandez was one of 15,000 runners who ran in this weekend’s main 13.1 mile race on Sunday, but thousands more ran in the other races that took place the days before like the inaugural 10K and Never Land Family Fun Run 5K. Like all runDisney races, runners had the opportunity to run in through a Disney Park which makes the run even more magical.

With runDisney events taking place throughout the year, the next races taking place at the Disneyland Resort will be during the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend taking place August 29-31, 2014. Registrations begin on Tuesday, January 28. If you’re a Disneyland Annual Passholder, remember you can register early starting Wednesday, January 22.

Register early as registrations for this and all other runDisney races are very popular and sell out fast! For more information on what it’s like to runDisney, click HERE.
