Some Sommeliers At Carthay Circle Restaurant

The Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure opens on June 15, and among all the celebration that will happen then, Cast Members serving at the restaurant are celebrating already with another unique, accomplishment! Carthay Restaurant will open with 92 individual sommeliers! This is the first restaurant in the world to ever have that amount of wine enthusiasts and experts in one restaurant!

Each member of the Carthay Circle Restaurant team has passed exams to become an introductory Sommelier and each will be on staff to serve over 250 wines both at the restaurant upstairs and the lounge downstairs. Each wine has been chosen very selectively to match the taste of the Southern California cuisine that Chef Gloria Tae and Chef Andrew Sutton’s menu has to offer.
