Someone created a flame-saber and it’s dangerously cool.

Lightsabers play an important part in the Star Wars universe.

No one has found out the science on how to make them in our own universe yet. Still, people (mostly fans) have attempted to create lightsabers themselves. While you might have seen some impressive light-powered ones at conventions, this one is probably one that you don’t want to be used around you there.

Behold the flame-saber!

YouTube user Sufficiently Advanced aka Allen Pan created the lightsaber powered by fire. He took an ornate lightsaber hilt and modified the inside of it with a device that shoots out Methanol in a steady stream. When the fuel is lit, as well as combined with lightsaber sound effects, the effect is pretty unbelievably believable.

This isn’t Pan’s first attempt at making pop culture fantasy items real. Earlier this year, he released a video that showed off his real Mjolnir aka Thor’s hammer.

Perhaps he’ll get hired by Disney to create both when the time is right.
