So you heard the announcement from us a number of hours before Disney officially announced it yourself, but they still did it way better than us and with “monstrous” style.

To officially announce the beginnings of Disney Parks’ summer promotion called Monstrous Summer (with tie-ins to Pixar’s upcoming “Monsters University”), Disney Imagineers and Pixar animators showed what kind of monstrous magic they could make together.

The outcome of that collaboration lead to a 180-foot tall Mike Wazowski. Well not really, but he was projected on one entire face of the iconic Spaceship Earth attraction in Epcot at Walt Disney World. It really was an engineering feat and they decided to do a video on how they exactly did it which we’ve included above.

A Monstrous Summer begins with the Monstrous Summer All-Nighter on May 24.
