Star Wars Celebration will bring together cast and crew of “The Force Awakens”

For those waiting impatiently for “Star Wars (Episode 7): The Force Awakens” to come to theaters, rewarded for your patience you will be.

Lucasfilm has announced a variety of special additions to all the offerings  at the returning Star Wars Celebration that’s happening later this year. Among those offerings like the special premiere screenings of the past film in 3D, attendees to the official fan event will also get to see the stars from the favorite galactic films.

Kenny Baker (R2-D2), Anthony Daniels (C-3P0), and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) will all be at the event to take part in special activities throughout, as well as sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

Additionally and to much surprise, it was announced that J.J. Abrams and veteran Lucasfilm producer Kathleen Kennedy will be making appearances as they are slated to kickoff the entire celebration with a keynote event on Thursday, April 16 at 10 AM. Their announcement was touted to be one that will make that “a day long remembered.”

For those who know them, Abrams and Kennedy’s inclusion in the event signal thatattendees will get their first glimpse at footage from the upcoming Episode 7, as well as more surprise guest appearances.
