‘Star Wars Commander’ Mobile Game Going Viral Worldwide

Earlier this year, Disney Interactive and LucasArts launched Star Wars Commander, a new interactive strategy game that allows you to join either the franchise’s fantasy groups of Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire in efforts to rid the galaxy of evil or fill it with even more. Similar to the massively popular mobile game Clash of Clans, players then build and defend their bases through various challenges and overcoming battles they overcome.

The game is unique as that it features a full array of weapons, vehicles, technology, and characters that make it a fully immersive and true Star Wars game. It also features a genuine storyline with characters you’ll be very familiar with including Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Since the worldwide launch of the game in late August, Star Wars Commander has commanded the world’s attention gaining nearly 5 million players! The even cooler part of the game and its worldwide participation is that real countries from where those 5 million players come from have joined either the Rebel or Empire side.

Russia has a strong Empire presence whereas India seems to be Rebel territory. In the United States, all players in every state seemed to have joined the Dark Side as a Rebel except North Dakota. The Force is strong there.
