The Carnation Cafe Blossoms Again
During our Disney California Adventure Grand Re-Opening Press Event last month, some of the DisneyExaminer Staff that weren’t “working” were able to make it across the way into Disneyland Park for an exciting dinner at a recently re-opened famous eatery!
The Carnation Cafe, one of Walt Disney’s personal favorite dining locations inside the Park right off Main Street USA, reopened to the public on June 13 after a lengthy refurbishment and expansion.
During our dinner visit a few days afterward, we could immediately tell that this place grew in dining space with the return of the indoor dining area located inside the former Blue Ribbon Bakery building.
In addition to the new facilities, there was also a new menu, but we decided to stick to some of the things that have been at the cafe since its opening – Walt’s favorites (seen above), which where a double fried chicken and pot roast!
Overall, we love this place because of those two things – food and atmosphere. We recommend it, so go, eat up in the place where Walt found to be best for dinner…AND breakfast!
Be sure to greet Chef Oscar for us, too! He makes some awesome breakfast potatoes…
Oh, and be sure to order stuff from the secret menu as well like a Cherry Malt and PB&J Soda…
