The cast and filmmakers of “Avengers: Endgame” are feeling ‘the end’ too

A handful of the cast of “Avengers: Endgame” were on hand at the global press conference for the film that took place a few weeks ago in Downtown Los Angeles. And the reason it was a handful was because Disney publicity wasn’t joking around about the effects of Thanos’ Snap at the end of “Avengers: Infinity War.”

That little stunt already set the mood for the event, making the entire 1-hour press conference feel less about a celebration, and more like a funeral.

“This entire press conference is way different from previous ones we’ve done,” said actor Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk). “We’re speaking as if we’re all really dead. And we kind of are.”

The cast echoed Ruffalo’s sentiment commenting on the idea that this really is the end on being a part of the MCU.

Don Cheadle aka War Machine said, “We’ve all become a family doing these films together. We’ll still be a family after it’s all said and done.”

As for what the movie will be when it is ‘all said and done,’ all the cast and filmmakers were quite mum. And for good reason! Who wants spoilers?! But there’s logic and behind it, too.

“We haven’t seen a definitive conclusion to any our films,” said Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige alluding to all the end credit scenes that have been a staple to any MCU film. “This is it, though.” Or is it?

We’ll know in a few short days when “Avengers: Endgame” hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
