The cast of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” points its success to Jack Sparrow

It has nearly been 15 years since the first “Pirates of the Caribbean” film came out from Disney. With the most recent release in the multi-million dollar film franchise “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” it’s only fitting that we ask the question: why another Disney Pirates film?

According to the cast, they squarely blame give all the credit to Captain Jack Sparrow himself. “The enduring quality of (Disney’s) Pirates (franchise) is certainly a great deal to do with the incredible creation that Johnny Depp came up with Jack Sparrow,” said actor Kevin McNally, who plays Gibbs in the films.

Jerry Bruckheimer agreed with McNally, saying that Jack Sparrow is just another great element of these types of films that stem their commercial success for having “humor, humanity with great storytelling and great characters.”

You can see more interviews with the cast and creatives, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and deleted scenes from the “Dead Men Tell No Tales” on the official Blu-ray/combo pack that’s now available in store and online.
