“The Incredibles” director Andrew Stanton will be directing episodes of Netflix’s “Stranger Things”

If you’re a big name in Hollywood, you tend to get what you want a lot of the time. Those big names include directors from Pixar like Andrew Stanton.

Stanton, the director of Pixar hits like “Finding Nemo”, “The Incredibles”, and “Wall•E” is reportedly a huge fan of Netflix’s hugely popular original series “Stranger Things” and really wanted to be a part of it.

So he called the series’ executive producer Shawn Levy to chat. “I’d be honored to be a part of it,” he told Levy, so Levy honored that passion by making Stanton director of two episodes. It was that easy.

Stanton will be directing the episodes titled “The Storm” and “The Pollywog” as revealed in the teaser trailer late last year. No hints have been given on what special lens the famed Pixar director will bring to the episodes or what the episodes are all about. The series itself has been a favorite among a general audience as it combines nostalgia with a thrilling and emotional story.

Similar to Stanton’s previous works, here’s hoping that he brings the trademark emotion and compelling visuals and storytelling that his Pixar films are known for!

We’ll get to see Stanton’s episodes and the entire second season when it premieres on October 31, 2017.
