“The Muppets…Again!”

If there was one thing that exposed every young person to comedy for the very first time and for multiple decades, it would have to be The Muppets. Not only were their sketches in their long-running TV shows and movies funny, but Kermit, Piggy and friends made their show funny through a variety of creative ways.

We think that’s why they’ve lasted so long (as opposed to other kids TV shows) because they’ve kept to that same creativity and funniness a standard. Even adults find the Muppets funny, right?!

All these years later, you put that standard together with the media moguls at Disney and you have more laughs and creativity for a new generation! As with the release of the first Muppets movie by Disney only 2 years ago, Disney’s sequel film with the all-star “puppets” will continue the laughing and creativity.

Earlier last week, our friends at the Walt Disney Studios released the first images of “The Muppets…Again!” Kermit and the friends will return with an all-star human comedy cast that includes Ty Burrell (ABC’s “Modern Family”), Tina Fey (NBC’s “30 Rock”), and Ricky Gervais (the UK’s “The Office).

The film has begun production and will shoot on-location in London (seen above) and Hollywood.

So far as the plot for this sequel goes, here’s the official synopsis from Disney –

Disney’s “The Muppets …Again!” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

We’re quite excited for this film because we’re looking to laugh (and sing) again. The film will hit theaters roughly a year from now on March 21, 2014.
