The new Tangled Disney Channel Original Movie has extra shorts on its DVD

Disney’s “Tangled Before Ever After” has been a hit with many since debuting a few weeks ago on Disney Channel. The new Disney Channel Original TV Movie was the launching pad the new Disney Channel Original Series that explores what happened between the “Tangled” feature animated film and the animated short “Tangled Ever After.”

Like the TV movie has shown, there’s a lot more story of what happened in the lives of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider before their marriage. As executive producer Chris Sonnenberg told us, it took creativity and a reflective look at how we feel in preparation for getting married to create these new stories.

If you get the DVD copy of “Tangled Before Ever After,” you’ll see a few more stories that didn’t make it into the TV movie or the series. The so called “Short Cuts” are animated shorts that involve characters like Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, as well as minor characters that have been introduced in the Disney Channel series, in sticky situations that ultimately get resolved in a fun and funny way.

Obviously, these shorts were created to add value to the DVD, which apart from the shorts is just the TV movie. However, these 5-minute shorts are the perfect examples of how many additional stories can be told that have been inspired by an original one.
