The official Star Wars symphonic concert is coming back

All you need to hear is the first few notes of John Williams’ iconic Star Wars theme song for you to know that you’re about to experience something Star Wars.

That music has remained a staple of the Lucasfilm franchise and a never-forgotten favorite of any Star Wars fan; so much so that Disney held a fan concert featuring the music during San Diego Comic-Con last year. Before that, a global tour was held featuring a full symphony orchestra that played the music accompanied by video clips from the movie.

These “Star Wars In Concert” tours sold out arenas during its run beginning in 2009. And so it was only fitting and obvious that Disney would continue the concert to play yet another tour.

While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, “Star Wars In Concert” will be returning to once again fill the ears of Star Wars fans with Williams’ award-winning score. Sources internally tell us that the new music that Williams wrote for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will also be included in each concert’s set list.

Tour cities have not been announced yet either, but we can confirm that the Honda Center in Anaheim, California will play host to the returning concert sometime in May.

The official website for the concert has gone live with the opportunity for those interested to sign up for a newsletter that will give those subscribed early ticket purchase windows and other “exclusive special offers.”

Below is just a snippet of what the concert is like, though as Yoda might say, “experience it in person, you must.”
