The Road to Route 66

When a great idea comes along, it most likely came from another great idea.

That, my friends, is called inspiration and the Walt Disney Imagineers that designed Cars Land went looking for it…on the road.

Take a look at the video above when some of them travelled the real Route 66 for 10 days back in 2008 gathering all the details that make Route 66 Radiator Springs and Radiator Springs Rout 66. They took the same trip that John Lasetter and the Pixar team took when developing the movie Cars and they came back with a lot of details as we’ve seen in the movie.

And from what we hear, Cars Land is ALL about the details; from the moment you walk the black, rugged asphalt.
