The Small-Screen Mouse Is Back.

If you are like most of us here at DisneyExaminer, we remember the days when good old-fashioned 2-D animated cartoons brought us joy when we were younger.

They were simple in every way – from the animation to the story. For the kid in us, they were things that kept us glued to our television screens and a longing now for those type of cartoons to return. Well, Disney has a way of granting those wishes and so we’re proud to see that these cartoons have returned!

The new Mickey Mouse Cartoon Shorts have returned with the help of “Dexter’s Laboratory” director Paul Rudish taking us back to these classic cartoons of old with new scenarios and hidden gems giving tribute to some classic Disney icons.

The first short released just yesterday was debuted online and can be viewed HERE.

Like ‘em? So far as the rest of the series go, expect to see “…Mickey in a different contemporary setting (Santa Monica, New York,  Beijing, Tokyo, and more) [in each short], exploring and experiencing life with his long-time pals Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.”

The rest of the series will roll out beginning Friday, June 28 on Disney Channel, Disney.com and other platforms.
