This is the first drone footage of Shanghai Disneyland construction

Crews are reportedly working around the clock to get Shanghai Disney Resort done before its hard early 2016 construction deadline. While much of that work remains behind walls, people who reside or work in the surrounding area have found clever ways to see what’s happening – like using drones.

Above is the first ever drone footage of Shanghai Disneyland’s construction. The video shows the large construction site and crews working throughout the area on different projects. The theme park, part of the overall Shanghai Disney Resort, will only take part of the 963 acres given to the project in Pudong province in Shanghai, China.

Construction is slated to continue through the end of the year and a portion of next year. The $3.7 billion “distinctly Disney and authentically Chinese” resort is expected to culminate in a grand opening event in spring 2016.
