This new surprise “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer brings new footage

People around the world woke up to a surprise Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer this morning. It was uploaded to Disney’s Japanese YouTube account, probably to be shown at the D23 Expo in Japan that begins today.

Those Japanese Disney fans should be excited because though the “final” U.S. trailer we saw a few weeks ago revealed more, there was more new footage that was included in the Japanese one. Many of the scenes were just different POVs of the scenes we saw in the U.S. trailer.

However, we must warn you that the Japanese trailer is probably the most revealing with more dialogue between characters and even the scenes themselves already hinting at plot points. Watch at your own risk!

Releasing a new trailer filled with all these new things isn’t a risk in Disney’s mind, though. They know that Japan doesn’t have a long history with the Star Wars franchise compared to us here in the United States. Their trailer feels very much like a trailer of a movie that didn’t need that much set-up to be enjoyed.

Nevertheless, the entire world just got even more excited about the upcoming Episode 7. And that includes you, too.
