Walt And His Trains.

Walt Disney loved making people smile. But what we don’t realize all too often is that Walt made people smile by doing and creating things that made him smile. One of those things were trains.

Trains were a lifelong obsession for Walt. So much so that he decided to buy his own scaled-down rideable model train and track system in his large backyard complete with bridges, tunnels, and landscaping that Mrs. Disney required should her husband continue his project! Take a look at Walt and his train system in the video above.

He called his new toy the Carolwood-Pacific Railroad because his home where the train was located was on Carolwood Drive in Los Angeles.

Just a few years later, Walt’s little train set would make its way into his big “backyard” now known as Disneyland where we see the results being a train enclosing the Magic Kingdom and later many other Disney Parks around the world.

Who knew that going around in circles would be smile-inducing fun?
