Watch the first Shanghai Disney Resort TV commercial

A little over 100 days to go until Shanghai Disney Resort opens to the world. While construction crews scurry to finish and cast members are beginning their training, the resort’s marketing team is also beginning their work.

Its first marketing product to emerge from them is a TV spot that has begun to air on televisions in the region.

The commercial shows the traditional fare of Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Jack Sparrow, and Dumbo interacting with curious Chinese citizens just going about their everyday life. Of course, the entire TV spot shows nothing of the theme park or the resort area for that matter.

Everything is still very much under construction. It wouldn’t be surprising if history to repeat itself where the park would still be unfinished at opening, just like Disneyland. That didn’t stop people from coming and enjoying though.
