Willow Bay, wife of Disney CEO, announced as new director of USC’s journalism school

Greatness: it seems to run in the family if you’re family name is Iger. Just recently, Willow Bay, the wife of Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger, was announced as new director of the University of Southern California’s (USC) Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Her association as a power couple with Iger didn’t get her the job though. She is an accomplished and educated (with an MBA) journalist herself having been a senior editor at the Huffington Post and a frequent correspondent for Bloomberg. She also has a history of being a producer, author, and TV anchor which all make her a well-rounded person for her new role at USC.

“I look forward to leading the school as it educates and inspires the next generation of journalists and public relations professionals for the future and contributes groundbreaking academic research into these fields,” said Bay who will take the reins in July 2014.

Our congratulations to Willow Bay on her new role – we only wish her the very best!
